I'm not a software engineer or an AI researcher. I'm just someone who's always been comfortable enough with technology to figure things out — and that's somehow turned me into the unofficial tech support person for pretty much everyone I know.
Friends, family, and colleagues all come to me with the same kind of questions. Broken laptops, confusing software, phones that won't behave. And more often than not, I'd just Google it, ask an AI tool, translate the answer into plain English, and help them work it out.
After doing this enough times, two things became obvious.
First, most people aren't lacking intelligence — they're lacking a starting point that actually speaks to them. The AI advice out there is either deeply technical, frustratingly vague, or trying to sell you something. None of it says “here's what this could mean for your specific situation, in plain English.”
Second, I kept thinking: why am I the bottleneck here? Why does someone need to know a person like me to get this kind of help?

I'm a normal person, not a tech entrepreneur. My day job is public-sector project delivery — Defence, Health, the Civil Service — which means I've watched plenty of organisations get sold technology badly. And I think that's exactly why I was the right person to build this.
